Oshkosh Country Club

The Brief

Oshkosh Country Club is a heritage private club established in 1899, offering golf, memberships, and event hosting to both its members and the wider community. The club needed a website that could speak to two very different audiences at once: current members looking for tee times and club resources, and prospective members deciding whether to join.

While working with Stellar Blue Technologies, I designed and built the club’s website to strengthen their brand, make the experience more intuitive, and turn the site into a genuine resource for members rather than just a digital brochure.

The Challenge

The club needed a site that served two audiences without confusing either one.

  • Tee time selection needed to be clear and quick for both members and non-members
  • Membership tiers and benefits needed to be showcased in a way that actually drove inquiries
  • The brand needed to feel as established and premium as a club with over a century of history
  • Members needed a single, reliable place to find club information and resources
  • Navigation had to guide two different visitor types to the right place without friction

Scope of Work

The goal was to create a website that:

  • Makes tee time selection obvious and easy for members and non-members alike
  • Showcases memberships clearly, with the information a prospective member needs to decide
  • Reflects the club’s heritage and premium positioning
  • Serves as a useful, ongoing resource for existing members
  • Presents a polished, intuitive experience across every device

Tools Used:

The Solution

As Creative Lead on the project at Stellar Blue Technologies, I handled the strategy, structure, design, and build, taking the site from sitemap through to a finished, live experience.

Strategic Foundation

  • Mapped the full sitemap and content structure in Octopus.do, organized around the club’s two core audiences
  • Prioritized the two highest-value paths: booking a tee time and exploring membership
  • Structured navigation so members and prospects each land where they need to be without hunting

Design & Development

  • Designed the site’s look and feel in Adobe XD, building mockups that reflected the club’s established, premium brand
  • Ran design review and feedback through Markup.io for clear, trackable client input
  • Built the live site on WordPress with Elementor Pro, translating the approved design into a flexible, consistent system
  • Applied responsive design so the experience held up cleanly from desktop to mobile

Functionality & Integrations

  • Integrated Golf Now so tee time selection worked smoothly for both members and non-members
  • Built out a dedicated Memberships experience to present tiers and benefits and encourage inquiries

Why This Project Matters

This project brought together strategy, design, and development for a brand with over a century of heritage behind it. Serving both loyal members and prospective ones meant building a site that could feel established and premium while staying genuinely easy to use. It’s a strong example of translating a legacy brand into a modern, intuitive experience that works for two audiences at once.
