UVANTA

The Brief

UVANTA is a long-term care pharmacy with an unusual position in its field: local ownership paired with the service range of a national organization, summed up in their tagline, “The Care of One. The Strength of Many.” Because they serve care facilities, their website isn’t just a brochure, it’s part of how they win and keep business.

A repeat client, UVANTA came back to Stellar Blue Technologies to redesign their entire website. They wanted a modern look, an experience their customers could actually navigate, and a site that worked as a real tool for their business. I handled this one end to end, from the first wireframe to the finished build.

The Challenge

The old site was the real problem, and it was a big one. It looked dated, but worse, it didn’t work.

  • There was no clear way to actually contact the pharmacies, which is a serious gap for a business that runs on relationships
  • The structure was illogical and hard to navigate, so customers struggled to find what they needed
  • The company’s two locations weren’t highlighted the way they needed to be
  • The whole experience felt out of step with a pharmacy that competes with national players
  • It gave visitors no clear path from “interested” to “in touch”
Before

Scope of Work

The goal was to create a website that:

  • Fixes the biggest failure of the old site by making it easy to get in contact
  • Highlights UVANTA’s two locations clearly
  • Delivers a clear, logical navigation that customers can actually follow
  • Gives UVANTA a modern, credible presence worthy of their reputation
  • Works as a tool that supports their business, guiding visitors toward reaching out

The Solution

I took UVANTA’s redesign from concept to launch myself, designing it first and then building it, with one goal underneath every decision: make the site actually work for the people using it.

Strategic Foundation

  • Rebuilt the site around a clear, logical navigation, fixing the confusing structure that made the old site so hard to use
  • Made the two things customers most needed impossible to miss: the two locations and how to get in touch
  • Designed the experience to move visitors from browsing toward reaching out, so the site supported the business instead of just describing it

Design

  • Started in Adobe XD, building the wireframe and mockups to get the structure and look right before a single thing was built
  • Ran design review and client feedback through Markup.io for clear, trackable input
  • Gave UVANTA the modern, credible feel they were after, a fit for a pharmacy competing at a national level

Development

  • Once the design was approved, I built the live site on WordPress with Elementor Pro, translating the mockups into a responsive, flexible build
  • Made contact paths clear and easy to reach, directly solving the old site’s biggest failure
  • Highlighted the two locations so customers always knew where to turn

SEO

  • Set up basic SEO with RankMath so the new site was structured to be found

Results & Impact

The redesigned site gave UVANTA a modern, credible presence and, more importantly, fixed the practical problems that were holding the old one back. Customers could finally find the locations, follow the navigation, and get in touch without a fight.

Alice was great to work with and did a fantastic job. The job came in on time and budget.

Why This Project Matters

This project sits at the intersection of everything I do — photography, design, strategy, and a life spent outdoors. It’s proof of what happens when a website is built with genuine love for the subject: it doesn’t just display the work, it echoes it. And for potential clients, it’s the clearest demonstration of what I can build when given creative freedom.
